Jamie Ball (b. 2004, Weston-super-Mare) is a Bristol-based photography student currently studying at the University of the West of England. His practice began during his second year of college, where he worked primarily with digital photography before moving into analogue processes, which now form the core of both his personal and professional work.
His work focuses on the quiet details of everyday life, shaped by an interest in the mundane and a desire for a slower, more intentional way of seeing. Through photography, he documents overlooked moments and environments, using the medium as a tool for observation and reflection.
Alongside image making, Jamie is particularly interested in print and bookmaking as forms of photographic presentation. He maintains a hands on approach to the production of his work, with a focus on the physical qualities of prints and the sequencing and structure of the outcome.
